Become a fellow.

Would you like to learn more about local government and help your fellow residents and community members. Consider serving as a research or service fellow to Chairwoman Cupid's office to help make Cobb a more inclusive place for all.


All fellows are required to:

1. Complete a Cobb County volunteer form which includes a background check.

2. Complete Cobb 101 , graduate from the youth commission, and/ or complete a satisfactory online overview of county departments.

3. Attend a townhall meeting, county meeting, or other civic meeting of the office's approval once a quarter.

4. If a service fellow, you may shadow Chairwoman Cupid or her staff, or you may volunteer at civic events, programs or in Chairwoman Cupid's office.

5. If a research fellow, you will provide research on county related matter at the Chairwoman's discretion.

5. Represent the office positively and professionally.

7. Provide a presentation and report of experience at the end of service.

Service as a fellow is for a term of 3 to 9 months.  Persons may serve for multiple or successive terms. Selection is at the discretion of the chairwoman's office. This is a pilot program and participation is limited. There is no compensation for this program.
